Thought i would give myself a little exercise. A week of shooting in black & white. jpeg only, so no chance of getting any colour back.
This first shot taken this morning was edited in Topaz, using a custom preset i created to my liking. I will add to this thread every day for one week using the same camera and edit settings. I will also be using the 14mm lens only. c & c most welcome. Thanks

    Second day

Struggling with subject and composition tonight, and the results did not turn out at all well when edited with the preset I said i would be using. So already i have altered the method i said i would use.
But its same lens and b&w jpeg, so i'll cut myself a little slack.
Lucky with the weather today in the north too.

    Third day

Given up with the original edit preset. It just does not like skies
Anyway i'm beginning to enjoy using the 14mm . I am finding it hard to stay with jpeg's though. When the week is up, it's back to raw for me, and convert
    (if i want) in post.
A little photomatix magic in this one. Hope you like it.

    Forth day

    A week of b & w jpeg's i said ! Oh dear , it's hard. The settings are on C1 of
the dial, it would be so easy to go back to colour.
But a week i said and a week i'll do. Change of venue tomorrow though. I might venture into the city !
Now what about you lot ? Have you ever set yourself any photographic goals ?
Done a 365 or Taped up your zoom/stuck to a prime for a week ?
Here is my forth image of seven.
And who knows, I might even make it to seven replies !

I have a friend who lives in the country who's slowly building a collection of B&W shots of cut wood. I enjoyed seeing someone else do it also.

Love the Birch shot. Oh, and have committed to one a day with single body and single lens, back in Jan. We did SIJ (single in Jan), over at Serious Compacts. It was a lot of fun. And we are now in a 37 in May, challenge now.

    Fifth day

Running late today, never made it in to town. Home quick walk dogs more work
Puffed out. Plenty of photos to be had at work, but cant risk the gear. Too much sand lime & cement dust flying about.
So a snap tonight of the sun through the trees. almost crapped myself when i nearly stepped on a deer  Good grief they can motor !!
Edited in snapseed, ( the photo not the deer)
