Who is tempted by this little tele lens, I am as it is so small it can go in the bag and almost forget till its needed. I would like to see some samples from it though.
The 35-100/2.8 is a fantastic lens! I have used mine for several months. It is compact, handles well and well made. You can view some of my photos taken with the 35-100 here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/biomed3/sets/72157646639370031/
I didn't realize you weren't referring to the 35-100/2.8 zoom. Maybe editing the thread title would clarify this.
I normally wait for the price to drop on these things, but it just seems so ideal, I ended up getting a 12-32 at pretty soon after there were ones available. These lenses and the pancakes fit right into what I feel is the ethos of µ43 (others will differ in opinion) of being a small format with good quality output.I have the 35-100/2.8 and love it (I've read the entire post I swear!), but I'm actually interested in the new 35-100/4-5.6 as well. Currently my backup camera (that my wife uses mainly) is an EM5 and 12-32 and the 35-100/4-5.6 would go perfectly with that I think.
I'll probably pick one up when the street price drops/I can get a used one for cheap.
The op is refering to the new pany 35-100/f4-5.6 announced with the new GM5. He clarifies this in his second post. People just keeps bringing up the f2.8 because they don't read read all the posts.
