Large Fine..I always used to shoot in Raw, but since giving up LR I don't have the need.
Jeff, try using large super fine (LSF). At 2.7:1 compression instead of 4:1 with LF, you have more editing latitude. LSF will also reduce noise in skies.

I shoot RAW + LSF always. I only use the RAWs for printing, or (rarely) heroic editing.

You should also notice better, more subtle colour gradations as well.

It was what convinced me to finally switch from film to digital. At that point, I barely knew what a RAW file was, but I did know that more bits = more data, and that more data = better representation of object.

A LSF jpeg gives you about 50% more data than a LF JPEG.
