Some friends drove down from further north where they live in the Loire to spend the weekend with us. They travelled across country in touring style, slowly and with a distinct Citroen-like gait, in their 1953 Traction Avant. I know not a lot about classic cars but the shape and form of this one seemed to be made for film. We had a drive in it and it was terribly comfortable, but windy. Mrs M made a tutting noise later when she saw her hair in the mirror back home.

Incidentally, if you are ever in châteaux country on a visit to the Loire, and you wish to tour the grand houses in style, this car and a twin vehicle are part of a chauffeur-driven day around the countryside. Well worth a call - PM me if you want details....
