The Blizzard of 2011

    I wasn't going to let a little snow and a bit of pneumonia stop me from getting out to take a few pictures.
    All taken with my Panasonic GF1 and 14/2.5 Pancake lens.

    Did you guys get hit pretty good there Ron? I'm in Illinois and it's terrible. Will post some pics when I get home tonight

    Here's Wisconsin the morning after. There was less than 6 inches on the ground 24 hours earlier.

    We "only" got about 8" - 10" ... much less than the possible 15" - 18".

    So, it didn't seem so bad. Certainly nothing like what I've seen of Chicago.

    Well, I'm an hour north of Chicago.. I think they got a little more than we did, but they're just such whiners that they make it seem like the world was ending. :biggrin:

    I think we got just shy of 20 inches when all was said and done.

    That's a nice image John. It captures the season / cold and ice really well.

    Then it screams right in your face "I'm talking about the elements here!"

    Very cool idea...
