    Look at these pics.

CES 2012: Fujifilm stand report: Digital Photography Review That X-PRO1 is BIG.

I told myself last summer that I wasn't going to get another CSC until they released a full frame. If the fuji was FF, it'd be worth it, but that's an awful big camera for an APS-C, and I've already got the P14/PL25/PL45, i.e. the lenses Fuji is releasing.

Getting less excited about it, and more happy with my EPM1!

LOL... they've copied the Super Control Panel. That's a good thing, IMO.

Now if only Olympus would enable that by default on their cameras...

If the Fuji was FF, it'd cost more that $2k. Fuji cheaped out by not including a built-in diopter adjustment.

It really is basically like the Panasonic L1 went on a diet (and not quite enough of one!), right down to the viewfinder placement and 'analog' shutter speed dial.

    Man was that L1 nice...

Cool, sitting next to the K5 gives me the most perspective. It is definitely not a compact camera, even though the K-5 is about as small a package as dslrs come it is still significantly larger than anything in m4/3 or the nex mount. They definitely have their sights on the digital rangefinder look.

Should be comparing it to its main competitor, the Leica M9

Fuji NEVER said they were trying to go small with this...

Don't care what Fuji said, only care about whether it's too big for me or not, or how it compares to the main camera choices on this site, which is m43. Don't care what Fuji is targeting.

Yeah, that looks like its definitely meant to be an M8/M9 competitor. It's certainly priced right if that' who they are targeting. I wouldn't particularly like a camera that big but that's just me. Also, we're looking at $1700 for the body and $600 per lens so my genetic disposition toward frugality would probably give me a heart attack before I could get the Visa out anyway.

    Exactly.
This Fuji was designed to be an affordable alternative to the Leica M9...

In much the same way that the Fuji X100 is a direct competitor to the Leica X1....

So, you can only be in the market for an M9 to consider it? No one else is allowed?

I'd wait for the rumored Olympus digital OM before making any rash decisions. That might be the camera we've all been waiting for!

I think it's safe to say that it (upcoming Olympus) has peaked all our interests!

about the size of e620 I'd say but more of a box body. x100 was successful at the asking price of more than 1.2k usa $, im sure even at 1700 this would sell like hotcakes.
