    Just a quick one to say thanks to everyone on these forums for being generally good sorts, I have really enjoyed my time on these forums in the two weeks that I've been here. I had got very tired of photography forums and the circular, repetitive posts and gear obsessed nature.

    These forums are great. People talk about photography in terms of image making and there seems a genuine realisation that cameras are the tools that we use to make images, and that they are not the ultimate aim in photography, to own the latest and greatest, to buy it all.

    It's refreshing. I like it a lot. Thank you all.

    And that is all.

    John, the place is as good as it is because of the people like you. It's the membership and the host's venue that make it all work so well. You're very thoughtful to have written this and I know it's going to make more than a few people very happy.
