Description
I purchased this around Halloween for use on my D600. Used it around the house and on one walk-around nature shoot (nothing formal, just with the family.) It is, for all intents and purposes, new. I did not register it yet and I do have the original receipt, but it has my name and address. Not sure if you can still register it online (asks for store of purchase and serial number, so I don't know if they can check your name.) Unfortunately, my refurb D600 started collecting dust in the upper corner pretty quickly, which made my decision to stick with :43: (trying primes again) pretty easy ... for now.

This is arguably the best FF 24-70/2.8 lens out there, since it is very sharp (center sharpness rivals or beats Nikon's own current 24-70/2.8, though I believe that the corners are softer) and it is the only one with image stabilization (VC/VR/IS, etc.) It is perfectly balanced on the D800 (had one shortly) and not too front-heavy on the D600/D610.

Pic added (I haven't even removed the list plastic strip yet) and price dropped. I'll also throw in the 86mm high-quality (I'll post brand when I get a chance to check it) UV filter.

Had a few "real life" things come up, so I haven't had a chance to put this up elsewhere (only Amazon, so far.) Figured that I'd offer it up here one more time.

If you have a D800 (or D700, etc.) with the Nikon 24-70/2.8, then sell it and buy this. Put the big difference in $$ into more stuff.

I have this lens and LOVE it, if someone is looking to buy it's a gear deal. Best of luck with selling it.
It is the only lens on my D3s 99% of the time.

This is the lens I would have if I had a fullframe or even DX (cropped) Nikon. I wish I had a D800E to mate this up with =).

GLWS.
