The lens is banged up but fully functional. It was my daughter's used for a Photo BFA curriculum. It fell onto the street breaking the plastic housing holding the filter ring and causing a deep 0.5 inch gouge in the center of the front lens element. The physics of optics is magical. The images produced through the damaged glass are invisible!
