Bought a Panasonic 14-150mm from mpb, got a good deal and the lens is great. Nice vendor to have around!

 

Over the years, MPB (UK) have successfully managed to divorce me from a fair bit of my income. I think the last purchase was the m.zuiko 40-150 Pro f2.8 with dedicated teleconverter.
One of my E-M1 bodies came from them too.

Unfortunately they consider Hawaii a "foreign country"
and wanted $54 to ship a $25 item.
Not really such a good deal for us "foreigners".

The solution is so simple for the US anyway - use the USPS flat-rate boxes.
Inexpensive and the same rate to anywhere in the US, including Hawaii & Alaska.
The boxes are free, come in several sizes and shapes,
including large padded envelopes for small items.
The PO will even deliver the boxes to you for free and then pick them up to ship.
A ready-made solution you could start using immediately.

But you're a "company", so I imagine you'll need a management meeting,
so you can appoint a committee, so they can study the problem
and "explore the options" and prepare a report
to submit to another management meeting
so they can make a decision.

Shouldn't take more than 6 or 8 months . . .

FedEX and UPS are rip-offs to Hawaii.

 

Come on, spdavies, don't be this hard on them   quick whois and company look up for MPB (EUROPE LTD) suggest their first started in UK, then expanded to EU and only after (I guess) launched US operation. Sure, it won't take 6 months to Mr. Matthew Barker (MD or CEO?) to review your valid point   Take care
