Amin - have you experienced any differences in brightness (shutter speed) at comparable apertures?

Edit: I noticed that the two images P2220004 (Oly) and p2220008 (Panasonic) were both shot at f4 with (near) identical field of view, but the shutter speeds were different - Oly 1/2000, Panasonic 1/1600. Seems to confirm the point that Robin Wong made. Would be interesting to see if this holds true at f1.8 also.

Edit x 2: Images P2220010 (Oly) and P2220009 (Panasonic) are at f1.8 and show shutter speeds of 1/6400 and 1/5000 respectively - so again, the Oly seems slightly brighter at comparable f-stop.

Yes, I guess it's important to be rigorous in test conditions to draw any concrete conclusions. Do you fancy shooting a white card in controlled lighting to prove the point?

Well done tests. I bought mine and started to use it, so it is good to know the differences as I have PL also. PL is a very good lens, but I prefer the smallness of Oly 25mm esp Oly 45mm became one of my most used lenses due to the size... It is good that we have choices w/ m43...
