Super Moon 2014-08

    Well, I'm new to the world of photography, which means I'm also new to using ILCs.

    Because of this, I don't have a great selection of lenses and/or other attachments (2x teleconverter for instance).

    I also don't have the experience with what is good composition - so these photos represent a completely different (and possibly very novice) take on the Super Moon.

    We went on a night hike for the most recent Super Moon around a local lake.

    These are the results - taken between 9pm and 9:30pm local time. Handheld, shot "wide open" using PM2 and P14 f2.5 lens.

    Different approach

    It may be some sort of faux pas to "star" a super moon, but this was my shot looking up the Willamette River into Portland

    No filter, just an aperture of f/16 with a 60 second exposure.
