Hi,

sunset are a popular photographic subject, but we seldom see examples here.
Are they considered "not serious enough" ???

Here's one of last year's holiday on our russian farm.

Thanks for starting this thread Rafael. I was working yesterday evening cleaning rocks out of dirt and i happened to turn around and look up. And the sunset was so beautiful i ran home to get my camera and just made it in time. 15 seconds later it had all changed.
You have a brilliant picture there and i have come to the conclusion that your russian sun looks just like our Aussie one.

I like yours too Texas, especially the one with the jet! Is the jet real? You are so close or either you got a whoppping huge lens.

The effect is caused by ice crystals in the clouds. The temp was around 25 below F.

Our country, Belgium, is not known to show spectacular sunsets.
But, yesterday evening, coming back from a concert that marked the beginning of the "summer sales" in our village,
I came across this one, over Lake "grand étang".
I've never seen this, since I live exactely on the opposite side of this lake.

Wow. Some really great photographs. Inspiring. I would like to say more, but the sun is on the way down and I am a bit inspired...
