It's been awhile since I was motivated to pick up my camera. I had a family vacation this week, though (that just worked out with the stay-at-home orders), and packed up the photo kit for the trip. On a previous trip, this spot had been teeming with hummingbirds, and I suspected that it would be that way again. (Un)Fortunately, between family fun and getting the kids bathed and to bed, the light was failing when I had a chance to try to shoot some of the birds. Since the light wouldn't do for getting good detail, I decided to wait a little longer and shoot them with no detail instead. It was just an experiment, and quite different than how I would ordinarily shoot wildlife, but I'm pretty happy with the results and thought that I would share the silhouettes here. I hope you enjoy.
