Today was a typical day in Asturias for this time of the year - overcast and drizzling. Personally I think it shows the place at its best - muted colours and no strong shadows.
I want to post these as thumbnails and another member kindly explained how - but pointed out you can't insert text between the photos.
I drove up to an 'Area Recreativa' (Picnic area) which the Principality has built all over the province - at the last count -72. (Asturias is a Principality because Felipe, the heir to the throne, is the Prince of Asturias - like Charles is the Prince of Wales). These areas are provided with tables and BBQs and are usually in places of great beauty with wonderful views. The last four are some very strange Heath Robinson (or Rube Goldberg) jetties and surroundings.
