These images are of a Native American-made souvenir from a local celebration this past summer. We were asked not to photograph anything b/c foreign counterfeiters are quick to copy their creations, but hopefully these close-up shots won't give too much away to the miscreants of the world. All are light-painted with a small LED flashlight, captured with the Olympus OMD EM5, 12-50mm macro lens in macro mode. 2 sec @ f/19, ISO 640. The next two are different exposures of the same scene, except as noted. This one was lit from above... ...and this was lit from below. Interesting how the placement of light can influence the overall tonality, and how the light is refracted.
