I want to start a new image thread: suburban images. By suburban I mean self-contained cities, town, and villages that surround a major urban city. I find it easy to do travel pictures, street and city-scape pictures when I am in a major city, nature and wildlife, mountains and other vistas, etc. I find that photography of the familiar, in this case suburban, is harder. The purpose in starting this thread is to see how how other suburban photographers look through their lens.

Urban Beach Architecture - Australia 2015 by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

A "striking" example of Australian urban architecture cica 2015. You might notice no one enjoying summer evening drinks on their balconies: well that would be because the building faces smack on in to the infamous "Fremantle Doctor", so in the evenings throughout summer you are likely to get sandblasted; hardly a pleasant way to enjoy the great outdoors.

I just love Australian architects ... no clue about the physical environment :rolleyes-38:
