I love silo art, which has taken Australia by storm, and other countries, too. This is a painting being made on a GrainCorp silo in western Victoria - I posted an early photo of it on 6 October, and a lot of progress has been made since. The artist is Geoffrey Carran, who has painted a number of murals in the region, captured here at work on a Sunday - I guess the weather dictates when work gets done, like a lot of things in the country. Having a head for heights must be a requirement for muralists!

Depicted are a blue-winged kookaburra (a big, laughing kingfisher), a magpie (butcherbird), and a galah (as in, 'silly bloody galah', a pink and grey cockatoo).
