GAS is hitting me pretty hard. I want to get some legacy lens that was just plain weird/wacky/unique looking. Something that stands out from the Canon FDs, the Industar 22s, etc...yes, I am that guy peacocking around with the Vivitar 70-210 =P

So what is the weirdest looking lens you have come across?

All mirror-reflex are a bit on the odd looking side of things ... and the better ones even work well.

    I have a Sigma 70-210 that I haven't used in ages.
Maybe i should strap it on my Mini.

The Zeiss zebra stripes are cool looking. Older all chrome and nickel lens are not often seen. You can always replace the rubber grips with some neon snakeskin.

    This should stand out:

If you're purely after the bizarre factor and not that worried about functionality, you could also try reverse-mounting an adapted lens with one of these. That should get some looks.

How about the old Nikon 50-300?

It's hard to get the scale from the picture but the thing is a monster. The only way to shoot it is mounted on a pistol grip or on a tripod. It has so much glass (20 elements in 13 groups) that I can still recognize transparencies shot with it because they look like I used about a CC20Y (very slight yellow) filter!

You'll outgun almost any Cannoneer or Nikonian with this lens on an M43 body.

If you're going for "wacky" you could do a lot worse than an ultra fisheye like the Nikkor 6mm f/2.8s:

If you want something more attainable, you could put in a bid on this Rokinon 650-1300mm + 2x teleconverter rig.

5200mm of reach (in 35mm terms) should get you close to the action.

Not so weird, but unique (at least the mount), and everyone who sees it think it's "cute":
