Hi everybody, it's now Holy Week and in the Philippines, with a predominantly Catholic population, people devote their time to Jesus by observing the Stations of the Cross.

My family had the fortunate occasion to visit one such Stations of the Cross that proved to be "interactive" and very interesting. The stations were set up at various points in a long park. Each station contained reflections and asked people to accomplish certain tasks:

STATION 1: THE GARDEN - Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane

STATION 2: THE BETRAYAL - Jesus is Betrayed by Judas

STATION 4: THE VERDICT - Jesus is Judged by Pilate

As North American born Filipino I'm always impressed at the devout religiousness of the country every time I go back. The Stations of the Cross display you saw is so much more impressive than anything I've come across here in Canada or growing up in the US. Very nice.

The one thing I can still never figure out though, is why people will actually be nailing each other to crosses. That's... A little excessive/fanatical in my book. :)

I'd like to remind everyone that Mu-43 is a politics/religion-free zone. It's one thing to show photos of religious/political things, but Mu-43 is not the right place to post your judgments about another person or group's religious beliefs.
