Nice shot, @junkyardsparkle .
My attempt was indeed from raw. (I shoot raw+jpg). I’m not sure what settings really affect raw and which don’t. Some are clear (focus options, for example.) Others, I’m guessing (does ISO affect raw?)

I assume based on your suggestion that WB options are for JPG only and don’t matter on RAW. Post-processing the raw and adjusting white-balance, I could not get rid of the green trails :D Granted, I don’t go for fancy software: Apple Photos.app and if I’m feeling spunky I bring up Affinity.

Yes, the RAW records the white balance the camera used for the JPEG, but it doesn't affect the actual capture. More on that here. As mentioned before, a normal "daylight" WB can be a good starting point for processing, but since many of these shots don't have much in the way of references, subjectivity rules (example being, an "objective" daylight rendering would have rendered the sky much less blue in the above shot, due to light pollution).

I was out this weekend trying to do my first strail trail!! Had tried the Live Composite function a little the day before so I knew how it worked, and read about it on the internet and got great tips here! Noticed that 10 sec was good for the quite bright night I had. With the Laowa 7.5 on f/2 (or maybe it was f/2.8). 40 minutes as someone here wrote (240 exposures). Have added a light painted foreground pic also.
The thick blue stripe to the right is Pleiades!

Have two new here.

First is from archipelago. I was out in a very dark place shooting milky way. Took 10 sec exposures in 1 hour:

Then I have this from tonight in my neighourhood, 6 sec in 45 minutes. Added a foreground photo of the buildings, the one in live composite was slightly worse (lighter and more cluttered with light, also I got more in lower part also, the trees was cool).

I spent the night at Devils Tower this week. I went up to photograph it at night. It was so dark, I couldn’t see any details in the tower. I’m not thrilled with the image, but I took what I can get.
