Spiders (and other Arachnids)

I had a pretty big mouse spider living under the hatch of my Forester today.

I thought it might need a wash, as looking a tad grotty ... ? .

Did get some shots with my E-M1 MkI + 12-50 in macro mode.

Is there are recommended time scale for how often the mouse spider needs a wash?

A Habronattus decorus jumping spider. this is only about the third time seeing one of these little beauties.

Here's a slightly better photo of my small friend from last night. I do love these jumping spiders; they have such a wonderful character and always seem happy to keep you company. I had to remove him from the lens a few times - that's the downside of the P30mm, you do have to get close to a tiny beast like this.

Spiders are in pretty short supply in the new house, so I was delighted to find a crab spider in the cosmos yesterday. I was very struck by how much larger her two front left legs were compared to those on the right. Almost as though she was a left-handed tennis player, or something
