This fellow came into our house today, I guess to get out of the smoke.
Hopefully it will stay long enough to get a few more shots in

No time to do a proper shot, but this male was in my breeze way. Will have to look up the Latin name but I think it's common name is NW wood spider. This male is about 2"across with a body about 3/4 of an inch. The females I've seen are much larger (perhaps 1 1/2" on the abdomen. Never show signs of aggression. Believe to be a member of the Callobius family, perhaps severus.

Looks very similar to the Huntsman we get indoors

You captured that beauty very well.
Magnificent detail.
I love those spiders. Fascinating beauties
Thanks,
But I must admit these are quiet big and stay relatively still when they are indoors so they make nice subjects. Hardly ever see them outdoors as they blend in so well.

Amazing photos of spiders. I feel quite audacious in posting in this thread. I think that this might be an orchard orbweaver.

Real quick grab shot of what I believe is an orb Weaver. If anybody can clarify, they'd be great. Btw, found in southern Florida.

Jumper season is here again! This is a juvenile female Icius hamatus, enjoying some spring on the outside table-tennis table.

I haven't done too many closeup shots with my 300mm pro, but was going to take some pictures of the ferns as they've started to emerge here, then noticed this little spider hangin' out on one!
