Found this little chap in a rose head this afternoon. Looks like a common garden spider of some sort, but is about 10mm across. Edit: 'think' it's a buzzing spider. Please if anyone knows different, let me know!

It is the time for these "Furry Friends" to be out looking for a lady friend. California male Tarantula. This one was moving fast but I got a few shots & a short video. Had just moved a large Alligator Lizard of the Road and turned down a road to a horse staging area and saw this guy in a state park. Ranger said it was the season and that with a little work we'd get to see one.
