I went in to Jessops today looking for m43 fit lenses they may have and was stopped in my tracks with a sign for a Sony NEX-5 with 18-55 lens for just £399.

I've just checked online and they are £376.

What a bargain for anyone wanting to get into EVIL photography. On the other hand when I was looking for my e-p1 only 6 months ago Sonys were over £800. Talk about depreciation.

They are selling like hotcakes. I imagine they can lower the price the way they are selling them.

It is sony, people waited for them to drop the price, and now they are selling. Like the samsung nx10. It became a top seller in Germany once they drop the price. They are all good camera. And for most users they really do not pixel peep or print large to see the differences.

A store is selling a NEX 3 with the zoom kit lens for $419. It enticing but I'm waiting for the yearly Sony refresh and for these to kit clearance on Sony Style. They should be about 50% off then.
