Came across this interesting looking lens on the interweb:

As I gather, it is a minolta design carried on by Sony. It has a special defocusing element I cannot quite get my head around how works, which steal a stop and a half of light. It has DOF of a f2.8 but gathers light as a f4.5 Kinda the opposite of what we're used to, huh? And two (!) apertures. All to render Smooth Transition Focus, hence the name.

Anyone used this lens, have any pics?
