Two recent acquisitions (and working ones at that, got the doric currently inked).

Shots taken with my Olympus E-M5 , using the Sigma 60mm f/2.8 for the slightly wider shots, and a Tamron SP 90mm f/2.8 1:1 Adaptall Macro for the close ups. (I do have nicer lens than the Sigma, but for my table top photography of pens, it's my sharpest one with the perspective I like).

This one is a Wahl-Eversharp Doric in Kashmir color (1931-1935) with a 14K #3 Adjustable Nib (the idea is, when the switch is clicked further back, the more 'flex' you get from the nib, more forward, the firmer the nib gets). This one is a lever filler, though they did make some vacuum filling ones that had very attractive barrels showing some transparency thru them.

And this one is a 1943 Parker Vacumatic in Emerald Pearled finish with great transparency between the stripe. Despite it's name, it's not actually a vacuum filling pen like the Eversharp or Sheaffer Vac-Fil (where it's a single motion that creates a vacuum and releases at the end), but rather it's more like a button filler with each push of the button pushing some air out the front and causing ink to displace it, usually takes about 9 pumps to fill the pen.

In the later photos, I have it shot against a white background to put more emphasis on the transparency as the light reflects back thru, I also have it shown next to my slimmer 1937 Parker Vacumatic in Gold-Pearled finish with a 1st generation 2-tone 14K Arrow Nib.
