I got my Panasonic 25mm f/1.4 last week and have been using it non-stop ever since just playing around. Here's a few dog shots I took just playing around in the house. Fairly low light, and these are straight from the RAW photos to iPhoto and up to Flickr.

Any feedback or advice appreciated

Couple more from last night that I liked... playing with different white balance settings and I was pleased with the way these turned out.

I like the first one. I'm not an expert, but some things I'd think about are:
    - when you're dealing with shallow depth of field try to get the eyes in focus.
    - use shallow depth of field to isolate the subject from the background.
    - look around the edges of the frame. Look at everything in the frame and decide if it improves the photo or not. I try and simplify my compositions as much as possible.

Again, I'm far from being an expert, but these are some of the things I try and do, with mixed success.

    Regards,
    Dennis

Tried a few more today to break in the 45mm f/1.8 and tried to bear in mind some of the tips Ned and Dennis were kind enough to offer - thanks again guys.

Not the best shot as I hadn't got the settings and focus dialed in quite right at that moment, but I loved the color contrast with the ball.

This won't be news to most around here of course  but I was really pleased with the crisp sharpness and bokeh I was able to get with this lens wide open, and the focal length worked well, I think I'm going to love this lens.
