portability matters to me, but I'm okay with sizes up to 60" (150 cm) if I can find any (easily portable) soft box /octaboxes that big.

Having said that, these two flash softboxes are same size and look very similar to each other, with some differences such as having different flash mount design (JINBEI seems to be having a bracket for the flash, whereas the Neewer model doesn't have a bracket)

    Neewer:http://tinyurl.com/lg3333l

Please scroll the pictures to see the flash mount for each of the above 2 models.

I wonder which is a better softbox to get and why. Thank you

JINBEI: I've had one like this with the small ball adjuster and it was useless and broke soon after as there was too much weight on the tiny ball for it to hold the weight of the soft box (mine was also a 60x60 and they are quite heavy especially when you are titling them forward).

I like the look of the Neewer design which is something I have not seen before. So long as the flash is held securely I think it is quite a clever design.

Both models have brackets, but they are different. Examine the thumbnails. I would prefer the bracket that would accept a hotshoe which could be attached to a wireless remote; that would be the Jinbei. However, you will get slightly more flexibility with the Neewer because you can insert it further into the soft box, and you can use a floating shoe (if you can find one). Use either one.

Mogul Thanks. I've also noticed the floating shoe with the Neewer, but don't know how or why would you can put that into use (and for what reason would you want to make use of the floating shoe)?
Also, could you explain , what/how would you use the "floating shoe" with/for ?

Yeah, I quite like your suggestion too...Remind me of Wescott Apollo 28 inch.
    I found these 2:
    http://tinyurl.com/ke89595 > This is 80 cm
http://tinyurl.com/njmd2up > This is great since it's bigger, 120 cm w/ the grid also, but has a speedring, which I wonder if & how I can use it w/ flash?????
