Social Networking Swap

Hi guys,

In Q2 2014 my wife and I are going to be launching our portrait photography business. We're currently working on our new portfolio and will begin posting our first shots in approximately two weeks.

It wasn't until doing so that I realized that there were benefits to having a minimum number of followers on certain sites, such as Facebook pages which doesn't give access to Insights until you hit 30 followers (1 more to go!). Since it can be tricky for introverted folks like myself to wrangle up a bunch of friends to follow their social media sites all at once, I figured it can't hurt to ask for a little help. In doing so, maybe we can create a thread that benefits all of us looking for the same kind of help.

The idea is simple, post your links. I'll check back regularly to follow them. Click Like / Follow on my sites, and I'll return the favor. Make sure you check back regularly to add any new people that reply.

Hmmm. 74 views and not a single click or reply. I'm curious now, is no one using social networking or Flickr anymore? I really thought this would be a useful thread for people.

My wife frequented a different photography forum for women a few years back and there was a similar thread there. She posted her info and her Facebook page hit over 100 new likes within a couple of days. I realize she's cuter than I am, but certainly we can give the women a run for their money. We have a great community here. Post your info, let's help each other out.

Thanks a bunch guys. That put us over the top, and enabled Insights (statistics). This will be pretty useful when we start sharing the new portfolio images soon.

I saw this thread yesterday and thought it was a good idea, meant to hit like button but got sidetracked
Already done in FB, planning to create and account in Flicker so I will do it there too.
