    make one of these between 4/3 and m4/3.

    Wouldn't that solve all the 4/3 legacy lens issues? It's less than a 1/2 of a stop of light loss with PDAF focusing. I think the SHG lens owners would be all over this. No?

    They will simply add on-sensor PDAF to the next OM-D.

    BTW, there was some speculation that Olympus may do exactly that (i.e. make an adapter with some sort of beam splitter) back in 2011, but everybody said it was not a practical solution because their sensors at the time were quite awful.

    Their sensors have never been awful, just "less good" than the competition. :biggrin:

    Even Sony is apparently going away from the transparent mirror technology. On-sensor PDAF makes it obsolete. I assume that's what we'll see on the new OM-D.
