looks like we have got some die hard Oly fans in China.
Thanks to gravijaflare who pointed out that this is actually from a Japanese source so most probably isn't Chinese.

I'm not saying I need one, but I can definitely see how this could be useful for numerous special applications.

Is Olympus Air for Japanese market only?
I'm interested in getting one if the price reasonable and if it supports raw

That is a slightly insane rig although it's not a bad way to stabilize that huge lens without any external support. I'm not sure I quite understand the purpose of the magnifying glass.
Yes, this is only sold in Japan for now. Perhaps Olympus will expand distribution if the product proves popular.

What I would give to ditch the entire "camera as an all-in-one device" idea and just have a sensor box with the entire interface as an app and input managed in some sensible fashion, so that I can plug any old thing in over usb and map any function to any particular thing on that thing. Can't believe it took til 2015 for this to happen.

I think it's a great idea. Turning a smartphone into a camera Live screen with all controls.

I doubt I'll ever want to be without a traditional camera, but as I said before...imagine what you could do with it on the end of a selfie stick.

Or for wildlife photography, setting your tripod where you want it and walking away to hide behind a bush.

I hope it's inexpensive. My kids would take to it very naturally!

I'm sure the police are thrilled with a camera/lens that looks like a shoulder-fired missile. :eek-31:

Haha I thought the pics of that shoulder mount needed a "360 noscope" caption :D
