Stop motion special effects wizard Ray Harryhausen just died. I had a great deal of joy growing up and watching cheesy but compelling monsters and other creatures designed and filmed by him.

Maybe you've seen some of the movies he did. Here's a filmography: Ray Harryhausen | The Official Website

Much appreciated, Ray. Rest in peace.

The skeleton scene from ... maybe Jason & the Argonauts ... was superb.
He's a real hero, damn good at his job too.
    RIP.

Hate to say it, but maybe his death will bring out some decent re-releases or remasters of his films he worked on. I remember being in interested in Stop Motion after Nightmare befor Christmas , and all the 80's x-mas flicks like the Califonia Raisen's, etc, and some of the 90's stuff on MTV that was fantastic. I remember loving the MTV stop motion intro/logo's.
