Since we've been getting more than usual, I thought I'd start a thread for everyone. Constructive criticism and/or comments welcome.

I went for a walk this morning with my dog and took quite a few photographs. Here are two. I may get around to adding some others later or to the gallery.

I do hope others will add to the thread, too.

Dallas had its big snow last week, so these are a few days old.

Here in the Uk I think we all thought it had gone!

I drove 10 miles away from home today and came across this snow that had come down last night, not too much but enough to transform the landscape!

Wow Raf,

I just love those last two images - they are full of mystery and magic.

Did you create these in camera, or is it post processing?

thanks for your comment !

Both images were shot with a C-mount fast normal, the Cosmicar/Pentax 25/1.4.
This lens does not cover the whole µ4/3 sensor, hence the darker edges.

"The chateau" is a blend of a desaturated pic from the building, blended with a sepia-toned B/W images of the rest.

"Late afternoon in the park" is more straightforwarded, just a little tweaking of contrast, white balance and colours. No blending here.

Hope this helps,
Rafael

Very nice, John !
So, you didn't have to do any gardening today, did you ?

Have fun,
Rafael
No Raf, not a keen gardener at the best of times, surprisingly nearly all the snow as gone now, but more expected later in the week. :frown:

Nice to see your Chateau shot again, magic. :2thumbs:

John.
