I've been using this lens for flower close ups for the past few weeks and occasionally tried how it functions on the wider side and thought I'd make a mini review for this showcase.

The reason I started using this lens is that I lost the Olympus 40-150mm, I probably walked away after a lens change and sending photos via a whatsapp conversation and left the lens on the bench.

I don't know exactly how I got this lens, but like many of these lenses I bought it somewhere around 10 euros in a thrift store.

The lens closes tightly on the converter block and mounted on the e-pl8 it lies firmly in my left hand, I can easily reach the focus and aperture ring with my thumb and index finger, aperture clicks easily and lightly, the focus ring is virtually resistance-free and may be a bit more difficult for me.
The ring got a "Macro" cq close focus zone on 70mm that I use a lot, not sharp rather soft but delivers the color "match" that I am used to get from the Pentax PK mount lenses

I remembered 2 photos with the 1st, wide open and the second 2 clicks down, the rest is too long ago, but I try to indicate approximately at which aperture I shot

For landscape I find it a bit too tight at 35mm, but the green in this shot makes it quite convenient.

I think colors and contrast are okay, which is also a personal taste
Do I recommend this lens?
Yes I do if the goal is soft photos of wild flowers.
If you come across one, it is a nice lens to try out.
