Hi I wanted to know has anyone has outstanding results using the NOktor 50mm f0.95?

I'm thinking buying this or the Oly 45mm f.18.

The noktor is super fast but super expensive.

The oly also fast and a lot cheaper.

Haven't seen many images with the noktor 50mm if you have some feel free to post please.

I'd advise you to not get the noktor. AFAIK, its pretty much a CCTV lens. The Oly 45 is tack sharp, auto focuses, and has a beautiful bokeh. If you must have a wider aperature normal lens, look at some legacy options, like the Canon or Hexanon 50 1.4

Seems to me you're seduced by the 0.95 aperture, but ignoring everything else, which the Oly probably does better.

Voigtlander is also coming out with a 42.5mm f/.95 this summer which, if they follow the tread of their 17.5mm and 25mm lenses, will be good wide open and absolutely incredible when stopped down. So if you can wait a few more months...

You pulled the words out of my mouth just as i was editing my post to include a mention of the upcoming Nokton ; )

I'd bet the farm the Nokton will perform better than the Noktor

Absolutely. The CV25mm was the sharpest lens available for μ43 until the 75mm appeared on the scene.

No. You're confusing it with SLRMagic's toy lenses (26mm 1.4, 35mm 1.7 and 11mm 1.4). 26mm and 35mm are similar copy to the CCTV lenses.

Note there are 2 different 50mm Noktor lenses from SLRMagic:
    50mm f0.95 and
    the newer 50mm T0.95

The newer T0.95 lens is more superior optically than the older version, but it's very expensive! The f0.95 is noticably softer and many people complained about its "ugly" bokeh.

seems no Noktor for me thanks u all guys; think I dodge a bullet there.

    I'm a voigtlander 25mm 0.95 user and I really love it. I think I will wait a few more months !!!

    cheers!
