skipping the 'top menu' pana g5

    When shooting the Panasonic G5 when I press the menu button (middle of the d-pad) it shows icons for the sub menus and once I choose one of them I see the menus.
    This seems an unnecessary step and I would've liked to disable that annoying icon-menu display.

    Is there any way to skip this top menu (the menu icons) so I will jump directly to the spread out display when pressing the menu button?

    You can costumize the Q. Menu (Quick Menu) and have all the stuff you want to access without going in the main menu.

    I just press the menu button twice (quickly). "menu resume" needs to be set to on in the setup menu.

    I have the q. menu set to my liking.
    It just seemed funny that the menu looks like that (with all the icons) - it is usually one of those 'beginner' settings which can be disabled.

    I have menu resume on.
    It's so silly this unnecessary middle step cannot be cancelled.
    Oh well... I have bigger worries in my life :)
