Come bundled with the Panasonic (G1)

Is anyone using it for anything?

    Yes

    I use it occasionally.
    Its actually very good.
It will give you an excellent output for your G1 as it has all the Panasonic parameters built into it.
The interface is not great, but its a decent piece of software.
I don't use it much because it just slows down the whole process for me.

    Worth a try.

I use it all the time. When I shoot RAW (99%), I convert in Silkypix.
I find it to be a good RAW convertor, but the UI is a bit difficult to use.

However, I have found an excellent User Manual published on the site of the UK rep of Silkypix.
    Take a look here :

    http://www.silkypixuk.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=5&Itemid=53

    3.75 £ well spent !

Also, they offer collections of preprogrammed "tastes" for download. I downloaded the "hybrid" that combines both collections, "classic" and "film"

Another 12.5 £ well spent

All in all, I am a happy user of Silkypix !

Can Silkypix as bundled with the G1 be used on Mac computers?

    Thanks!

Many thanks for that. I will give it another go. As I normally use Photoshop 7 (I know!), it was too confusing for me to bother with and I read a bad review online, so never bothered to try it again. I will give it another look now.

    I can't answer that one, because I don't have a Mac.
