Just received this lens yesterday and took it out to the zoo this morning for some test.

    Nice macro shots!

Great shots, I have the same lens.
Im interested to know how you setup for the macro shots?

Did you use any extension tubes?

    Some more, different subject!

This was one of the first adapted lenses I got . . . picked it up off the back shelf of a camera store for a song. I was looking for a 'normal' lens for my new camera, and 24mm fit the bill.

I don't use it as much since I got the 20mm, but it's still a lot of fun and takes wonderful images. Here are a few I enjoyed:

    ruby-133568. ruby-133563. sigma-133630.

OOPS! Realized that this thread was about the 28mm, not the 24mm. Sorry!
(I'm leaving the pics though . . . the 24mm is also interesting)

This is my copy. Minolta SR mount. Decided to give this guy a ago. Got this lens when cameras were all film. Some fungus at the sides but what the heck...

That's the most interesting shot you could come up with? Gotta try harder than that! :p

I'm just kidding. That bokeh looks very nice indeed. Pretty round, very smooth.

    Sigma 28mm f/2.8 Mini-Wide Image Thread

I should have also said "thanks" for posting that photo, because I was thinking last week about picking up a Mini-Wide. Curious: does it show a lot of chromatic aberration?

Just ordered one of these for the second time to use on my E-M10. I had one previously when I had an NEX5n and liked it a lot. I sold it as part of a de-cluttering when we moved house last year, now I'm in clutter mode again :)

Here's my first successful attempt. Focusing with peaking seems a bit hit and miss - it shows stuff in focus which turns out not to be. Magnifying is the better option, I think.

Second image is a panorama stitched together in Microsoft ICE. I think it was around 10 vertical images. MS ICE is free and does the job well. It can't handle RAW, but takes both jpgs and TIFFs.
No need for it anylonger since Lightroom has panostitching built in since LR6/CC.
