Sigma 19mm 2.8 ??

    Hi all,

    I'm considering getting the sigma 19mm as cheap alternative to the Panasonic 20 mm, is this a wise move? I'm after a general purpose/ walk about lens for my e-pm1. I would be selling of some my legacy glass to fund the purchase.

    If it's only the focal length you're after, then it's a great alternative.

    But you would not get the same bokeh and low-light performance from the 20mm.

    Vivitar or tokina or tamron 17mm/3.5 or adapted mft zuiko 17/2.8?

    Not to forget the Oly 17/2.8 native lens, it can be had for a good second-hand I believe.

    I find this sigma is an adapted lens come with 4/3 mount?

    It'll probably focus a a lot faster and quieter as well.

    Thanks for all the suggestions. I might just save a little longer and go the panny 20.

    For the extra money I don't think you will regret getting the Panny 20mm.
