    Hi all,

I'm considering getting the sigma 19mm as cheap alternative to the Panasonic 20 mm, is this a wise move? I'm after a general purpose/ walk about lens for my e-pm1. I would be selling of some my legacy glass to fund the purchase.

    Cheers

If it's only the focal length you're after, then it's a great alternative.

But you would not get the same bokeh and low-light performance from the 20mm.

Not to forget the Oly 17/2.8 native lens, it can be had for a good second-hand I believe.

It'll probably focus a a lot faster and quieter as well.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I might just save a little longer and go the panny 20.

For the extra money I don't think you will regret getting the Panny 20mm.
