Sigma 170--500mm lens on G10

    With the correct adaptor would this work.

    Yes, why not......AF won't work, it would be fully manual.

    Thanks Steve ,tried it but can only get very slow shutter speeds .

    What is your aperture set at and what ISO?

    ISO 800 aperture around 7 in good daylight.

    ISO 800 and f/7 should give you great shutter speeds. I just took my camera out, here in Texas, and I was getting ISO 100, f/7.1, 1/320 second. Turn that ISO to 800, and it becomes f/7.1 and shutter speeds greater than 1/2,000 second. Are you shooting something that's getting hit by sunlight, or shooting into a shadow?
