3 belt knives made by Grohmann Knives in Nova Scotia.
Left is the Boat, middle is the #7 belt and right is the flat ground #2 bird and trout.
The handle design on the 2 and 7 allow for multiple holds from hacking to choking up for delicate work. Blades are around 4 inches.

The boat knife on the left isn't a stock handle. I made it myself from figured maple including black liners against the blade. Brass pins and brass lined thong hole.
Unfortunately despit the work, without the blade shape and deeper blade belly that the other 2 have it's nowhere near as versatile, and my least favorite.

Wrap some string around it, so when it’s covered in blood, it doesn’t slip out of your hand. It looks like a deer hunters knife, not a boat knife!

The handle shape was designed for wet conditions and works quite well. The blade design is just not as versatile as the others.

Surprising, because the blade shape looks similar to a bushcraft knife I have which is quite versatile.

It may do. I ground it down from the top, lowering the point (though that doesn't define a bush craft knife). Still couldn't take to it.
A knife, for me is more of a finesse tool, they're personnel and they have to fit. I don't want a knife with a large handle forcing me to hold it a certain way. The #7's handle allows many grips and the curved belly moves from wood to general camp chores to handling fish or game very well.
I believe the boat knife was standard Canadian Military issue for many years

I find about a four-inch blade is the most I want for a good outdoor knife, but with the handle I conversely want it to be large enough to fit my hand. A lot of the EDC style blades that have been coming out lately have otherwise great ergonomics, but don't fill the entire grip and so are very hard to use to work with wood. Of course, having a couple well-suited knives is always better than trying to make one do it all!

And the EDC that doesn't require a week long canoe trip before its allowed out of the draw. The Benchmade mini griptilian. 2.75 inch folding blade.

30+ years ago, a friend of mine found this under his house.
It was like new! Never used.
He gave it to me, and I have used it...
I have never heard of the name stamped on it, or ever seen another. But I can tell you this much, it’s been a damn good knife.
