There's already a thread for this, but it hasn't been touched for 3+ years and most of the photos in it are dead-links, so I figured a reboot would be okay.

I was just playing around instead of organizing my piles of junk today and took some snaps of the cameras that I grew up on:

My very first camera: a Kodak Brownie. Bought by my grandparents in the early 1950's, it shot 127 film and took the childhood pictures of my mother. When I found it in storage as a kid, it still had a box of what was then very old film and it became mine.

Eventually, I inherited the Kodak Instamatic X-15, a 126 film pocketcam with a fixed 43mm, f/11 lens designed to ensure everything from 4ft to infinity was in focus. It was cheaply-built plastic that made horrible sounds! But as a kid, I was completely fascinated by the Magicubes as they'd fizzle, bubble, and self-destruct for you when you needed a flash ☺.

I inherited the Canon AE-1 from my dad when he tired of the heavy equipment and moved on to compacts. It still works flawlessly and was the most user-friendly camera ever. Packs a lot of sentimentality.

My first camera that I got myself was the Canon New-F1. They didn't call it "the tank" for nothing. It took bumps, tumbles, scrapes, knocks, and every other type of abuse. It was too complex for me at the time so I didn't fully appreciate it until many years later.

My final film camera was the Canon T90. Still the best feeling camera in my hands ever. There was absolutely nothing it wouldn't do. Professional in every way and defined what Canon would do going forward, despite it being the end of the FD line.

This photo was already posted in this thread https://www.mu-43.com/showthread.php?t=10938, but here it is again

I haven't used it in a long time but I've just ordered some FP4, it will be interesting to see how well it still works.

Zorki 4 with Jupiter 8 50/2 ( I have this 1957 version and a 1962 also. These two years are significant In Soviet related events: 1957 for Sputnik I and 1962 for the Cuban missile crisis. Both work and take good photographs)

I also have a Nikon FE2 and some other assorted 35mm cameras. I have a small collection of Kodak and Ansco folding cameras.

Long time lurker, first time poster here!

I got into film photography when I decided to find a Minolta legacy lens to adapt to my GF5. Well, the lens, a 50mm MD Rokkor-X, came with an X-700 attached to it (all for $10). Turns out the camera worked very well. It was super clean. I ran some film through it and just fell in love with the results I was getting. After some more purchases and sales I ended up with these two:

The AE-1 Program had the notorious sneezing sound when releasing the shutter, and the Yashica-A had some very sticky shutter blades. Both are now in good working order. I also have a Kowa Six MM, currently being sold. The thing takes amazing shots, but it's by no means an easy camera to lug around!

I have a ton of film gear (Soviet Zenits, tons of FD Canon including the first AF lens made by Canon, T90, AE-1/AE-1Ps, a Zorki, Voigtlander, etc), but don't have any decent pics of them (except this one)...one of my favourite cameras, a rare all-black AE-1 Program...mint, with the original leather case! :)

Thought I'd revive this rather than make a new thread. I'm currently running a roll of expired Kodak Gold 200 through this setup. I haven't used film in around 20 years, and it is kind of cool returning to my roots. This camera is an early version without a meter, so I've either been using Sunny 16, or using my E-M5 to meter. That may not be entirely accurate, but it is fun.

Nothing spectacular, and haven't been used in years, Yashica FX-103 with 50mm 1.9 ML. I already ordered a lens adapter for my E-M10 when it comes in. :)

Pic lacks DOF, was shot years ago with my Canon S2:
