Just found while walking the dog. Saw him laying out in the open. Didn't see the nest or any other squirrels around. Took the dog home. Went back to the area and watched for a while to see if the mother would collect him. No sign of her but a feral cat was not far away and we have a lot of predatory birds in this neck of the woods... so I guess it's up to me. Going to try and keep him hydrated warm and fed until Wildlife rehab opens on Monday. I'll see if they can take him. Some years back I had a pet squirrel that lived for 10 years. Some kids brought him over when he was about this same age. I had rehabbed him for too long and try to let him go at about 6 months. When I did, he was attacked by the other squirrels in the neighborhood and came running back to me. Hopefully this little guy will have a great life in his natural habitat if I can manage to get him through the next few days.

A picture from my office during a "red eye" flight.

I decided to try my smartphone astrophography capabilities. After a few tweaks in Lightroom I was quite happy with the result.

We were cruising at 35,000ft over central Mexico. Our groundspeed was roughly 500kts.

I just copy what I just typed over at the sister (more like cousin nowadays) forum, I want to show you guys this.

"This shot is a mark that I'll remember, a cell phone raw photo processed on the phone, turns out so good, even after a lot of dodging and burning not showing noise like I thought it would at 100%, and the highlights in the raw photo weren't blown out either, oh and the sharpness is what I would expect from a "proper" camera.

This phone, Xiaomi Mi9 SE, with its main camera built around the 1/2 48MP Sony sensor outputting 12MP due to pixel binning, with the help of Lightroom or in this case, a ported version of Google Camera (which is why the EXIF shows Google Pixel 3A phone) can do this. "
