It won't be as good as when using proper gear and this is pretty old news. It was still fun too see the result though especially the minimal effort it takes to get it.

The underground car park where I keep my bike. Spotted this cat taking an interest in something so walked over to have a look. It had chased a mouse behind the pillar but could not seem to actually catch him .....

I have spent this evening organizing old photos and realized that some of those old crappy smartphone images are actually amazingly good all things considered. This is from 2016, next from 2017 and both shot with One Plus Three. "As shot" jpg.

Back in early 2016 I still had my old One Plus One and at one point I decided to shoot some RAW images (One Plus supported dng already then) without knowing that one day such thing as AI Denoise would not only be available but inexpensive too.

Now, why on earth didn't I shoot everything in RAW also on smartphone since it became available? One Plus One did have a decent camera when it was released in 2014 but it was by no means a great one. Jpegs look pretty awfull by modern standards but RAW files only need Topaz Denoise and minor exposure correction before they are good enough for internet use.

@SteveAdler Steve, pretty good, all things considered, but not quite up to your usual standards!

Here are a couple of mine taken with my 5 MPx Blackberry many years ago. These will print excellently at A4 size.

Still not up to the standard of my 2003 5 MPx E-1 ...

Neither is my 2020 mobile phone.

This FJ40 definitely didn't leave the factory like this. You should have seen the inside!

The smartphone is not going to replace my camera. I have to shoot panoramas to get good details in landscapes. Still for casual captures of things we do in life, this isn't bad

Oh, I certainly don't disagree there, mate.

And often beats the crap out of film cameras of a mere 20-30 years ago.

iPhone 11 - edited in Snapseed which exports to JPG. Overall I am please with the 11's performance but the tendency to over saturate/vibrance is kind of annoying and it handles sky poorly where there is a strong dynamic range between the highlights and the rest. It also still sucks at sunsets without implementing a ruddy orange to it.
