I think this is a P51 Mustang Replica

This is an AN2 Antonov which is still flown. It is so tricky to fly it takes two men to pilot it.

Thanks- I thought these were all shot with film and a vintage camera!

Will have to post some in-flight photos as well as soon as I've uploaded these...and apologies for the size. Will make the next group a tad smaller...

Perhaps the subject I enjoy the most. Sometimes my travel photography can seem like work or an obligation, but the best two weeks in Houston for me are the air show at Ellington Field, and the Ballunar Festival at NASA the next week.

2010 - with the GF1 and 45-200 for the action shots, and 20/1.7 for static displays

2011 with the G3, same lenses, plus some 8/3.5 fisheye. C&C welcome (actually, encouraged!)

Yes, this is a helicopter flying upside down. Most amazing exhibition I have ever seen

The only flying B29 in the world, Fifi:

Can't wait til this year - they finally got rid of the Thunderbird and Snowbird "also rans" and bringing in The Blue Angels!
