Recently bought a scanner to process slides/negatives to digital and I bought these negatives off ebay a few months ago and have just scanned them in. I think the aircraft is a Halberstadt CLII and the film stock is definitely Ilford FP4; other than that, I do not know a date, although I would guess late 1960's or early 1970's: hope you like them.

The two chaps are actually starting the engine by running and pulling the prop at the same time.

EDIT: The aircraft is an L.V.G Type CVI (1917) on loan from the Historical Branch of the Air Ministry according to our 1968 Shuttleworth Collection book.

SOSA Glidingclub flew from Brantford Airport yesterday to get an early start while we wait for our grass strip to dry out.

Emirates A380 on final to Toronto Pearson. Not exactly thrilled with the shot as the sky and fuselage have very little contrast. I've been trying to get an A380 for a while so this will have to do till the weather cooperates.

That’s a great shot of an aesthetically unappealing aircraft. How is it that the 747 double decker looks amazing still, and this looks like a pregnant sperm whale.

I suppose beauty is in the eye of the beholder - I quite like the A380 as well as the 747 (not to mention the Nighthawk, especially from the angle in the photo above). However, I do agree that the shot is great.

Still practicing with this lense.
This time right below the approach of Schiphol this afternoon.
Even at landing speed these machine are so quick. I had hardly time to manually adjust the focus while they were coming towards me. Two shots, with a 5 seconds interval.
Had the lens attached to a tripod. The sun was very bright and gave me a hard time seeing thinfs in both the monitor and the EVF.
I managed to get 6 out of 40 "sharp enough" pics. So I am satisfied.

The Boeing E-4 Advanced Airborne Command Post (AACP), the current "Nightwatch" aircraft, is a strategic command and control military aircraft operated by the United States Air Force (USAF). The E-4 series are specially modified from the Boeing 747-200B for the National Emergency Airborne Command Post (NEACP) program. The E-4 serves as a survivable mobile command post for the National Command Authority, namely the President of the United States, the Secretary of Defense, and successors. The four E-4Bs are operated by the 1st Airborne Command and Control Squadron of the 595th Command and Control Group located at Offutt Air Force Base, near Omaha, Nebraska. An E-4B when in action is denoted a "National Airborne Operations Center"

Can anyone tell me what's wrong with this plane?
