With Thunder over Michigan shut down again this year I figured I'd try something new. I've been wanting to go to this for a few years, decided to give it a shot for $20 pre-sale. Supposedly the cars they bring to park amongst the airplanes in are a cut above, Auburns, Duesenbergs, Cords, etc. I'm looking forward to seeing the 'new' Ford Tri-Motor the YAF just picked up. They'll be selling tickets for 25 minute flights, it's a new item on my bucket list.

I plan to limit my M-4/3 lenses to the 8-18 and 12-60, doubt I'll need anything longer. I plan to take some period correct cameras too, my Argus Argoflex E TLR, maybe one of my A models, maybe my pre-war C3. Should be fun and its lasts about 5 hours so it shouldn't be rushed.

Here's some shots from a recent visit to the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum. They just got an F/A-18C Hornet, Blue Angel no. 4 installed.

I go there enough times that I try not to repeat earlier shots. I'll post a few photos, but the Flickr album shows some before and after shots when I reprocessed some high ISO shots using DeNoise AI. I was pretty impressed with the noise reduction without losing details with DeNoise. This might interest you.

Here's the album. https://www.flickr.com/gp/92624968@N02/7K312g

Mitsubishi A6M5 in previously flyable condition. Notice the oil drip pans under her.

Act of m43 heresy. :hiding:

Heavy crop (From the full-frame insert.) made from a Nikon Z7 II since the guys were buzzing around overhead in circles looking for bad guys. I can see the right-seat observer looking at me too.

RIAT '18. Cancelled this year again, hoping it will be back in 2022.

The top was taken from the backyard. Bottom is taking off from Phoenix Mesa Gateway airport. I think they were working the Tussock Fire north of Phoenix, AZ.
