Taken at Shuttleworth Navy day 2018 (seems an awfully long time ago now!). The time span between the 1910 Deperdussin and the Goodyear FG-1D Corsair is just 35 years!

Chinook, not sure it wan't below min height...

One came over our house at about 9pm one evening last week. It was between 100-200feet maximum.

Training mission of some sort. On FlightRadar24 it showed that it came up from Wiltshire, did a couple of laps of Sutton Park, headed up to Stafford then travelled back to base.

Milestone in our unit (the NATO Alliance Ground Surveillance Force)... We have achieved initial operating capability! This is the shot I've been planning for months and I appreciate all the help. Taken with my Canon, but next will be with my replacement E-M1.2 -- it came in today :).

This was buzzing around the neighborhood for hours today. I wandered out and tried to get some shots that might tell me what it was all about.
All are hand-held, SOTC. Some

There were a couple of chaps who worked on one of these powerline inspection helicopters for CEGB who used to stay at a hotel I worked at in the early 80s. They used to fly the entire power network checking for hot spots/faults on telegraph pole height wires using a pair of infra-red binoculars.

Not sure what an entire day's low level flying in a jet ranger would actually cost - I got a trip for two pints of beer :)

Granted, there are some pictures of actually flying P-51's in this thread but you are guaranteed not to see these airborn anytime soon!
Just purging some photos from museums I'm not able to visit at the moment. Or anything else for that matter.

In case these are unidentified (once) flying objects for someone, we have Heinkel He 162 Volksjäger, V1, Rheintochter, Henschel Hs 293, Ruhrstahl X-4 and Bf 110.

Such a nice day, went over to Hobby Airport and caught these birds landing along with a bunch of Southwest Airline planes but didn't try to shoot them.

Also caught these two playing around at Hobby Airport. The control tower called them "Tigers"

I have often considered posting this pic, but then I lost it amongst all my junk. But I found it today and decided to post it. It's different, but I somehow like the shot. The picture was taken during a fly over of my house, which is not uncommon where I live. The camera focused on the wall on the left when I pressed the shutter in haste...

The shapes are of course completely wrong, but the silhouettes remind me of archive footage of V1 'doodlebugs'.
