Just a user. Best to move those to the knife thread. Are you a collector?
I will have to seek that one out. Lately I have been on a "bottled in bond" exploration (which applies to other liquors besides Whiskey btw).
Have you tried Nikka Whisky From The Barrel? I quite like it but cut it with a little water - it's 51.4% alcohol by volume and has some burn served neat.I’m a big fan of Glenlivet, Tullamore Dew, and anything Suntory

No, never heard of it. But I looks interesting, and I enjoy Japanese whisky...guess we have the Irish to thank for that. I’ll have to try and score some.Have you tried Nikka Whisky From The Barrel? May have to wait a while. They filled two barrels in 2016 and only bottled one of the barrels this year. All of the 172 bottles were gone in about 30 minutes, but I heard they may bottle the other barrel next year. Pretty good chance that they will be gone instantly too. They donated a large portion of each bottle sale to fund a local veteran’s memorial so there was quite a lot of publicity prior to the release in November.I will have to seek that one out. It was the Scots, Taketsuru learned whisky distillation in Scotland, at Longmorn distillery. He married a Scottish woman and returned to Japan to build Suntory's first distillery. He later left and started his own whisky business - Nikka. No, never heard of it. But I looks interesting, and I enjoy Japanese whisky...guess we have the Irish to thank for that. Nikka from the barrel is one very fine stuff. I have one open and a few stash away so that I can enjoy it for a whileHave you tried Nikka Whisky From The Barrel? I quite like it but cut it with a little water - it's 51.4% alcohol by volume and has some burn served neat.
You want it? I can’t stand the stuff. Tastes like floor cleaning solution (I imagine). A buddy got it for me about 6 years ago. Only a few sips have ever been taken, on the night I opened it, and realized it tastes like Mr. Clean floor tile bleach.I think your Lagavulin bottle is a bit too full.
I’ve had that hibiki. One of my all time favorites. You can see Nikka Straight from the Barrel whisky right behind Hibiki Harmony bottle

Well, I am big Islay style stuffs so yesss. It took sometime for me to get used to it to eventually love it. Lagavulin, Laphroaig, Ardbeg, etc. I perhaps have too many bottles. My wife cannot stand it either. You want it? I can’t stand the stuff. Tastes like floor cleaning solution (I imagine). A buddy got it for me about 6 years ago. The next question would naturally then be ... how do you know what Mr. Clean floor time bleach tastes like?and realized it tastes like Mr. Clean floor tile bleach.
I was lucky to stash 12 and 17 years old version then the price was more realistic yearsss ago. The Harmony used to be like $50 now it is more like $70 depending where you get it from. I should say $50 was the price I paid for the 12 yrs old back then. Crazy how these booze costs these days.I’ve had that hibiki. One of my all time favorites.
A legit questionThe next question would naturally then be ... how do you know what Mr. Clean floor time bleach tastes like?![]()
I honestly thought they had accidentally let cleaning solution mix with whiskey. Had to look it up. Nope. That’s how it’s supposed to be.A legit question. Seriously though, it smells like cleaning materials that what I always heard!!
My stash is unfortunately dry. I picked up something else from Suntory recently, some entry level stuff, and it’s just so so. Tastes like a basic Canadian Seagrams or something. But it explains why it was only about $30.I was lucky to stash 12 and 17 years old version then the price was more realistic yearsss ago.
